Song: The Kind of Love
God created us for union with himself; the Bible is full of depictions of God as a lover. Earthly marriage is a shadow cast by this eternal truth. I wrote this as a picture of God’s love for us – His desire that we should wholly trust and give our hearts over to Him in a trust-relationship.

The Kind of Love
I want to be the one you want
I want to be the one you need
The face you long to see
I want to get inside your heart
To have your heart to live in Me
The two to make one beat
Chorus
Down this lonely road
Oh how I want to make you know
What is real
There’s nothing to compare
To the kind of love I feel
.
If you would look into My eyes
If you could see yourself through Mine
You’d love you all the time
I’m gonna get the message through
And then this love I have for you
Will be your holy wine
Chorus
Down this lonely road
Oh how I want to make you know
What is real
There’s nothing to compare
To the kind of love I feel

Beautiful, Ron. We all need to remind ourselves how we look through His eyes, since Jesus cleaned up all the imperfections. Thanks for using your gift.

Amazing how such simple lyrics can encompass a lifetime of feelings. Beautiful chord progression!

This one still makes me cry (tears of joy and thankfulness). Specifically, “If you would look into my eyes/If you could see yourself through mine/You’d love you all the time.” My friend and I are hoping to take a stab at this one at some point.

Is a soundtrack available for sale. I have a young lady that would like this song at her wedding on May 12th. Yes, I know it is short notice. Can I buy sheet music or is a cd available for a soloist to sing with?
Thanks,
